The beginning

Norsap was established in 1969 as a one-man company and its main product was aluminum snow shovels. The range soon expanded to include a wide variety of products such as boating equipment, aluminum doors and screens, all known for their high quality and long life. Over the years, we’ve developed and strengthened our expertise and skill set within aluminum production and assembly.

At the end of the 1980s, the company established a line of helmsman and operator chairs, primarily for fishing vessels. After some years, the chairs broke into the market with their excellent comfort and high quality, springing from the company’s strong tradition. The Norsap brand was soon well known in the maritime market.

During the 1990s and 2000s, the company grew and strengthened its position.

Today, we are proud to be the global leader of operator chairs for use on fishing vessels, supply ships, passenger ferries, cruise ships, offshore rigs, navy vessels, ROVs, submarines and flight simulators.

We are also one of Scandinavia’s leading producers of boating equipment. Norsap products are available worldwide through dealers and agents in more than 20 countries.

Norsap is still a healthy, privately owned company with a strong balance sheet. We continuously invest in product development and put a lot of effort into serving our customers. We have a highly skilled team of engineers and industrial designers and a well-equipped modern facility.
